Week 1 - April 29th - 3rd May- Prologue - end of Chapter 8 TASKS - Choose from the following... 1. ART - Draw Mr and Mrs Meek OR draw Myrtle OR draw a pair of exploding socks OR draw Mrs Meek covered in chocolate milk! Add colour and loads of detail. 2. HANDS ON- Make some finger puppets and put on your own play. Record or take some photos OR make the industrial size lunch box that Myrtle has, what will you put in it? 3. HANDS ON- Make something out of chocolate OR make your own boomerang that doesn't come back OR make some tasty chocolate mousse from a recipe, take some photos but don't do what Mrytle did or there will be trouble! 4.WRITING- Write an Alphabet of the things you have (or would love to have) like Myrtle's list. 5. RESEARCH- Belgium- draw a map and list some facts OR research Nelson's Column- where is it and how did it get that name? 6. HANDS-ON - Make a model of the Taj Mahal, or a blue whale bath toy OR design a poster for your library promoting good reading OR make your own shampoo- give it a label and test it if you dare! OR CREATE your own planet Fing. How far is it from Earth? Is there life there? What is its temperature? What does it look like? Make up your own Fing planet profile. 7. WRITING - Write a character profile on one of the Meek family members OR write a poem that could be included as part of the book, 'One hundred different poems for ladies or gentlemen'. 8.
